ANNOUNCEMENT:  How to Download a Temporary Insurance Card

Contact Elsa Cadena, RN, Immunization Coordinator, to find out if your medical information is complete.

The staff of SHS is here to serve you. We offer a full array of primary care, mental health, and preventive health and wellness services for men and women, as well as specialist referrals. A physician is also on call 24/7 for health emergencies, so you can always reach someone even when the SHS is closed. Our services are tailored to the particular needs of students entering the health professions. We strive to be a model of compassionate, high-quality health care for the diverse Columbia University Medical Center community.

We want to partner with you to optimize your health. In addition to meeting your clinical needs with easily accessible care, we are one of your important resources for occupational health, preventive medicine, and wellness education.

Before your arrival, there are several SHS requirements that you must satisfy in order to register for classes. Please read the Student Health Service Pre-Registration Brochure and send in the forms included in the brochure at least one month prior to enrollment.

If you do not have a physician, we can perform a limited number of pre-entrance physicals at a cost of $200 plus an administrative fee (see Preregistration Brochure for fee scale). If you require immunizations, they are available to you at our cost. Click here for a list of available immunizations.

When you arrive, please make an appointment to see one of our clinicians so that we can welcome you personally and establish a productive health partnership. We are conveniently located at 60 Haven Avenue on the Lobby Level. Our Summer Hours are Mon & Wed 8 am - 4 pm, Tu & Thurs 8 am - 6 pm; Friday 9 am - 4 pm.

Again, welcome to Columbia! You have our best wishes for this exciting phase in your career. We look forward to collaborating with you.
