   Acupuncture Services

Acupuncture has been shown to be effective in relieving pain, such as back, muscle and joint pain, and in relieving many conditions caused by stress. Student Health Service is delighted to be able to offer onsite acupuncture appointments for students.

Services are provided by Lisa Morrow, FNP, LAc, a licensed acupuncturist, with a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from Swedish Institute of Health Sciences, and seven years’ experience as an acupuncturist. She is also a candidate for a DNP in 2015 in the School of Nursing. Lisa enjoys providing acupuncture services, as well as further educating students about the benefits of this technique in an integrative medicine approach. Because she is a student, Lisa will not have access to the electronic medical record system used in SHS, and all (paper) acupuncture records will be stored separately in SHS. There is a $30 charge for a 45 minute visit. Please call 212-305-3400 to check availability and schedule an appointment with Lisa. For more information, read our brochure, About Acupuncture.
