 Transcripts

The transcript is an official record of the student's entire tenure at Columbia. It reflects all coursework and grades per term for each school attended within the University. Other information on the transcript includes:

  • your name as it appears in the Columbia University records
  • your school and departmental affiliation
  • your degree/certificate program (if applicable)
  • your degree/certificate conferral date (if applicable)
  • honors earned (if applicable)
  • some schools also display the G.P.A.- the G.P.A. will not be printed on transcripts of students who attended prior to 1982

There is no fee for this service. Transcripts cannot be produced for anyone whose record has been put on hold as a result of an outstanding obligation to the University.

Current students may request a transcript by using (SSOL) or come in person to our office, which is located at 1-141 Black Bldg. Non-current students that possess a valid Columbia UNI ID may order transcripts via (SSOL). Alumni must obtain a COLUMBIA UNI ID in order to gain access to order transcripts and access other Students Services. Transcripts can be ordered by mail or fax. Click here to obtain a transcript order form that you may either mail or fax (212) 305-1590) to our office. In your fax or letter, please give the following information:

  • Your complete name
  • Handwritten signature
  • Student Identification Number
  • School and dates of attendance
  • Year of graduation
  • Your current mailing address and day time phone number
  • Name and address of recipient

Upon receipt of your letter/fax, transcript requests are processed within two business days.
