Print Services at CUIMC


Departments at CUIMC provision their own printers for employee use. Students and faculty receive a quota to use with the campus Pharos print system, while anyone with a valid MC account can purchase Pharos pages to use it as well.

Faculty and Student

Printing, copying, and scanning for students at CUIMC is provided by the Pharos printers located in many common areas around campus. An MC account and Pharos printers are required to use these printers. Quotas are given to active students and faculty on a per semester basis, and can also be purchased at the CUIMC IT Service Desk located in Hammer LL1-118.

IMPORTANT: Any pages purchased online via the CUIT (Morningside campus technical support) web site will only be able to be used on the Morningside campus through the PawPrint system. If you will not be printing at Morningside, please do not purchase pages this way!

Staff and Departmental

Any department owned printers are generally managed by their own IT staff, and may also use support from external vendors for maintenance and repair. Most new printers have a warranty which should be followed for maintenance and repair, the owning department is responsible for this. Please check with your supervisor or Department Administrator if you are not sure how to find assistance. Printers may be purchased via Columbia University's Purchasing site.
