Application Support Services
Service is for Faculty and Staff
CUMC IT Server Support offers Application Support services to clients for installing, managing, and maintaining home grown applications and vendor supported applications. Such services are provided by System Analysts who have proven expertise in administration and maintenance of web servers and database servers, and custom development in web technologies in CUMC domain.

Automated Call Distribution
Service is for Faculty and Staff
ACD lets incoming calls for a department or group be routed to designated phones that are idle.

Course Materials Hosting
Service is for Faculty and Staff
Properly licensed, compatible software that is required for courses can be installed on any of the computers in classrooms, labs and auditoriums managed by Classroom Technology Support. Installation media, proof of proper licensing and at least 2 weeks notice is required.

CROWN Clinical Records On-Line Web Network
Service is for Faculty and Staff
CROWN is the name of the electronic health record for ColumbiaDoctors. The CROWN team works closely with the Allscripts team and representatives from across ColumbiaDoctors to implement this transformative technology.

Directory Services
Service is for Faculty, Staff and Students
The Columbia University Directory is the official central information resource of officers and staff at Columbia and the Medical Center, Barnard and Teachers College. The online directory is updated weekly and features a convenient search to find current information on reaching faculty, staff, and students.

Email
Service is for Faculty,  Staff and Students
Email accounts are provided for students and most full time faculty and staff at Columbia. These accounts are the official work and/or academic email address for Columbia correspondence. They can be checked via the CubMail online web based program or configured to use an email client. Exchange accounts are also available from CUMC IT for those who would like to use advanced features such as Calendar sharing with the CUMC community.

Exchange
Service is for Faculty and Staff
CUMC IT Exchange accounts are available for users in the CUMC community, and enable rich and efficient access to a host of features such as email, Calendars and meetings, attachments, the CUMC global address book, and integration with SharePoint calendar in addition to many other features.

SAS Software Licensing
Service is for Faculty, Staff and Students
The CUMC IT Service Desk (SD) sells licenses and installation media for the SAS statistical software suite.
  • SAS has a set license period of September 1st through August 31st of every year. Regardless of when you purchase and install the software, it will not run after the end of the license period.
  • To continue running the software after the end of the license period, another license must be purchased.
  • The Service Desk only carries the two most recent versions of SAS for licensing. If you are running an older version would like to continue using SAS, you must upgrade your version of SAS.
  • Anyone needing to install or upgrade SAS must also purchase an installation kit.
These policies are set by the makers of SAS. SD sells licenses and kits as a service to the CUMC community.

SPSS Software Licensing
Service is for Faculty and Staff
The CUMC IT Service Desk (SD) sells licenses and installation media for the SPSS statistical software.

VPN
Service is for Faculty,  Staff and Students
The Virtual Private Network service provides an encrypted connection for your computer to connect to resources on the secured campus network from off-campus, and to connect to the secured Rome wireless network.

Web Programming
Service is for Faculty and Staff
Web site services include the latest in programming, with a wide range of options from simple online forms, mailing lists, to complex top-to-bottom application design.
