Services that have individual accounts are listed here. Please note that for many CUMC resources and applications, the account used to access the service may be your UNI, but a separate request other than receiving your UNI might need to be submitted to gain access.
Developer Staging accounts are intended for staff who update/develop web sites currently hosted by the CUMC Web Design Studio. Account holders are solely responsible for site updates, and should know html coding and SFTP basic before assuming responsibility for site upkeep.
Deparment owned computers
typically connect to a domain, many of which are managed by
CUMC IT. Domain accounts can provide users with a secure and centralized log on for local network resources such as files, Exchange email and calendar, and automatic pushing of updates and patches to user's workstations in addition to many other features.
Email accounts are provided for students and most full time faculty and staff at Columbia. These accounts are the official work and/or academic email address for Columbia correspondence. They can be checked via the CubMail online web based program or configured to use an email client. Exchange accounts are also available from CUMC IT for those who would like to use advanced features such as Calendar sharing with the CUMC community.
CUMC IT Exchange accounts are available for users in the CUMC community, and enable rich and efficient access to a host of features such as email, Calendars and meetings, attachments, the CUMC global address book, and integration with SharePoint calendar in addition to many other features.
LAMP accounts provide access to the Web Design Studio's dedicated Linux Apache MySQL PHP server, used for programming and developing in a PHP environment.
Columbia's primary account ID used for access to email, online pay and benefit information, wireless access, online request forms and many other services.
