Global Health Seminar Series

The Global Health Seminar Series (GHSS) was created by a committee of students and faculty advisors from the four Columbia University Medical Center schools to serve several important purposes. Specifically, the GHSS will:

broaden the exposure of students from all four schools to current global health issues and controversies
provide an opportunity for interested students to come together to address some of the most critical health topics facing the world today
encourage discourse and communication among the different CUMC communities in a way that has never been done before
confront the need to coordinate the health professions to solve a variety of global health problems
lead to the development of global health core curriculum at each CUMC school

Each seminar will include a forty-five minute lecture, followed by forty-five minutes of discussion/Q&A. The panels will differ slightly with each speaker having equal lecture and discussion time.

For videos of seminars along with slide presentations, visit http://globalhealth.columbia.edu/ghss/index.html.

For more information on the Series, contact Tanya Munroe at trm2103@columbia.edu.
