SCID Files in Microsoft Word

A collection of seventeen Microsoft Word document text files (typically one SCID module per file) containing the most recent version of the SCID-I-RV can be ordered by clicking on the following link. (Click here to order.)  The SCID files are compatible with Windows or Macintosh systems and available as e-mail attachments (provided your e-mail server does not impose size limitations on attachments), or on a CD-ROM.  Please note that before receiving the SCID files, you must sign a permission form agreeing not to make or disseminate any of the SCID files to users outside of your research study. 

For most users, it is more economical to order the paper SCID, which costs $50 and $70 respectively for domestic and international delivery, since non-commercial users are permitted to make as many copies for research purposes as required.  The SCID files in Microsoft Word costs $250.00, and the main advantage to ordering these files is to facilitate SCID customization (i.e., cutting and pasting sections of the SCID to fit the needs of your study) and/or translation (i.e., substituting translated text for the original questions). Please note that these SCID document text files are not a computer-assisted version of the SCID in which the computer prompts the user with questions and ratings, which are entered directly into the computer, eliminating the need for paper.  Computer-assisted versions of the SCID-CV and SCID-II are currently available, as well as a beta version for the SCID-RV.  Please click here for more information.
