Computer-Assisted SCID-RV (CAS-RV)

We are disappointed to say that we still do not have a completely-tested computer-assisted version of the SCID-I-RV available for use.  We have working over the years with software companies to develop a computerized SCID that meets our specifications, but for a number of reasons (including the complexity of the task) it has not worked out as of yet.  In the past couple of years, however, a company in the Boston area has developed a SCID for administration on a Tablet PC that they are adapting for use on a standard PC.  A beta test version of this software is available for testing.  Please contact Dr. Michael First at mbf2@columbia.edu for more information.

A computer-assisted version of the SCID-CV (CAS-CV) has been available for a number of years now.  Even though the SCID-CV is labeled the “Clinician Version,” it may still be suitable for use in research settings.  Refer to the description of the differences between the Clinician and Research Versions of the SCID in order to see if the CAS-CV may be appropriate for you.  Please note that one potentially serious drawback of the CAS-CV software is that its only output is a diagnostic report indicating the SCID diagnoses.  It does not have the facility to produce a data file containing the ratings for the individual SCID items.  Please click here for more information about the CAS-CV.
