The State of the School 2009

At the June 29 State of the School address, Lee Goldman, M.D. provided a comprehensive update on a variety of issues relevant to the P&S community. He highlighted a number of recent achievements, both by P&S as an institution and by its constituents. He introduced several important new leaders at the institution, and called attention to academic changes, including the new curriculum and the new opportunity for medical students at Bassett Healthcare. He concluded by noting that Columbia’s endowment performance (which has been strong relative to its peers’) will allow P&S to continue to grow its research, education, clinical care, and public service endeavors.
