 | Jody S. Blanco, MD Division Chief Dr. Jody Blanco earned his medical degree at the State University of New York-Upstate Medical Center. Following internship and residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia Campus, he served a fellowship in gynecologic urology and pelvic surgery at the University of California at Irvine, and a fellowship in advanced pelvic surgery, urodynamics, and gynecologic laser surgery at Memorial Medical Center of Long Beach, California. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Blanco has published several articles on treatment of urogynecologic disorders and PAP screening. He has received Sloane Hospital's Howard C. Taylor Award of Excellence in Teaching and National Faculty Teaching Award. | | | Clinical Staff | | | John C. Evanko, MD Dr. John Evanko earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. Following his residency at the New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University, Dr. Evanko partnered with one of the pioneers in minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Harry Reich. He was appointed Assistant Clinical Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University and is Co-director of the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery. He is also Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Allen Pavilion, an affiliate of Columbia University and is co-director of resident education for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University. Dr. Evanko has published several articles on obstetrics and gynecology.

Elisabeth Visser, NP Ms. Visser earned her Masters in Nursing from The Columbia University School of Nursing. She has over 20 years experience in Nursing and more than 6 as a Nurse Practitioner. Prior to joining the Division of Urogynecology, Ms. Visser worked as a Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at another major New York hospital, and also managed two research projects for the Centers for Disease Control. Ms. Visser brought her expertise back to Columbia and is now in charge of the Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation program. She also manages her own private patients in need of routine gynecologic care. Ms. Visser serves as adjunct faculty for nurse practitioner and medical students from Mt. Sinai Medical School, Columbia University School of Nursing, State University of New York at Stony Brook and Malloy College. | | | | |
